The Culture of Lunigiana in Tuscany, Italy
The culture of Lunigiana
Numerous small coastal, inland and mountain villages and towns are waiting to be explored. Many have historic interest such as:
Monti Castle, once owned by the Malaspina family and named in the famous Tea pass chronicles.
Or stroll through Bagnone town and explore the side streets and the mountyain pass up to its castle.
Take a walk through Filetto, the ancient town which annually hosts a mediaeval festival.
Or visit Bastia, if you can walk that far up hill!, with its spectacular views over the Taverone valley towards the sea at La Spezia and Bocca di Magra
We like staying here because - : Lunigiana is a beautiful, still relatively undiscovered part of Tuscany
